The Aussie singer and reality TV star says he would love to bag a role in the popular ITV1 period drama.

Writing in his new! magazine column this week, Pete, 40, said he was chuffed for pal Keith Lemon, who recently filmed a cameo appearance on Coronation Street.

And he added: “If I could choose to appear on any soap, it’d have to be Home And Away.

“A lot of my Aussie friends like Isla Fisher and Melissa George [who played Shannon and Angel in the 90s] were on the show and, as I own a few coffee shops, I reckon I’d slot in quite well as the Diner’s new boss!

“Joking aside, the show I’d most like a part on is Downton Abbey.

“It’s a favourite of mine and I’d love to play one of the ‘downstairs’ characters.”

She was representing her home town of Lancing! She got 4 questions wrong and wasted a bit of time so after time penalties were added she managed a score of 102 seconds putting her 12th on the leader board. Well done Heather a good effort!

The singer, 40, was concerned about Kerry, 32, when she told her Twitter followers that she wasn’t feeling her best and was going straight to bed after the show.

‘My heart really goes out to her because I know from personal experience how frightening they can be,’ says Peter.

‘My advice to Kerry would be to remember that they can’t physically harm you. If you keep remembering that, it will help you.’

Kerry’s been honest about having panic attacks in the past and her mum Sue has previously said that the star suffered from them after splitting from ex-husband Brian McFadden.

Mum-of-four Kerry has posted a series of emotional Tweets in recent days but her spokesperson insists her panic attack message was ‘a bit of a joke’ and she was just being a ‘bit dramatic’.

‘there comes a time in your life, when you must stop beating yourself up over past mistakes and move on. Xxx,’ Tweeted Kerry on Sunday.

She later wrote: ‘Missing home like crazy!!! .’

Brave Peter Andre has returned to a hospital where his brother was treated for cancer as part of a new TV slot on This Morning, called Peter Andre’s Cancer Diaries.

Singer and reality star Peter, 40, will highlight the latest effective treatments, the remarkable work of hospital staff and the high level of care and support available to those who may be affected by cancer now and in the future.

And that includes returning to the Royal Marsden hospital in Sutton, Surrey where his older brother Andrew was a patient last year.

Andrew was just 54 when he passed away last December from liver and kidney cancer.

Peter said: “I am privileged to be spending time with the surgeons here at the Royal Marsden to witness the latest techniques being used to treat cancer.

“The future looks good and I’m blown away by it.”

Peter will hear personal stories and to explore the latest treatments and resources available to those who are facing cancer.

The series with Peter starts on This Morning tomorrow (Wednesday 15th) with a different topic each week covering surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, palliative care, and life after cancer.

Peter announced last month he had launched a charity cancer foundation in memory of his tragic brother.

He hopes to help prevent other families from going through the heartache his loved-ones have by raising funds to run buses that will tour the country acting as drop-in cancer check-up centres.

Peter recently opened up about the death of his brother Andrew on This Morning.

Talking to Phil and Holly, he revealed he’s teamed up with Cancer Research UK to launch The Peter Andre Foundation.

He said: “When a tragedy happens in your family, you get angry at the disease, you turn your back on it, you don’t want to know about it.

“And then eventually you turn around and say, ‘Hang on a second, we’ve got to do something,’ because there are many families that are going through this now.”

The ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker – who has son Junior, seven, and daughter Princess, five, with ex-wife Katie Price – thinks it is “sad” that the major TV networks have axed their live weekend kids’ programmes and would love to front one of his own.

He said: “Holly Willoughby has said it’s sad that there are no live Saturday morning TV shows for children now, and I totally agree. Remember ‘Live & Kicking’ and ‘CD:UK’? They were brilliant, and I loved performing on them back in the day.

“Funnily enough, just recently I said to my manager Claire that I’d love to present a Saturday morning kids’ TV show. It would be so much fun.”

However, Peter may not have time to do so in the near future as he is currently training for a charity bike ride in Zanzibar with his girlfriend Emily MacDonagh’s father.

Writing in his new! magazine column, he added: “Em’s dad and I did a big bike ride in preparation for the 10-day ride we’re doing in Zanzibar in June, and it made me realise that I definitely need to ramp up my training.

“Although I work out a lot, I don’t do much cycling, and it uses different muscles. Dr Ru was amazing though. He didn’t even get out of breath and was like, ‘Come on, Pete!’ There are 30 of us doing the Zanzibar ride to raise money for Health Improvement Project Zanzibar.”
