Australian pop star Peter Andre is setting up a fundraising charity for cancer sufferers after the heartache of watching his brother battle the disease.

The Mysterious Girl hitmaker arranged for his older sibling Andrew to fly to London for treatment in March (12) after he was diagnosed with cancer, and has told of his admiration for his brother’s bravery in dealing with the illness.

Now he’s decided to become more involved in raising money to help fund cancer research – he’s hosting the Crystal Ball event in September (12) and setting up his own foundation.

He tells British magazine Fabulous, “When you know what cancer means, you do anything to help. In the past, I have done a lot for charity and now it’s time for all those people in the industry that I have helped to help me out.”
